FAQ about Kart Rentals
What is the minimum age?
12 years old
Do you have any two seat karts so my child can race with me?
No, we only have the Rimo Alpha karts.
Can my child ride on my lap?
No, safety is always our number one concern, a child in your lap can be distracting.
Is there a minimum height requirement?
All drivers must be at least 4' 10" inches tall.
If my child is 10 years old but 4' 10" tall, can they race?
They have to be at least 12 years old AND 4' 10".
How much does it cost?
The first 10 minute session cost $34.16 per person
$10 for the Daily Pit Pass, it's medical insurance and good for the whole day
$20 for the 10-minute session
$2 for the balaclava (head sock)
$2.16 6.75% sales tax
Each additional session cost $20 ($21.35 with 6.75% sales tax)
Is there a way to save money on my races?
Yes, buy an Annual License for $75 ($80.06 with 6.75% sales tax)
The benefits are:
- $10 Daily Pit Pass is waived for one year
- 20 percent discount on kart rentals
- Free birthday race for driver and a companion ($68.32 value)
Your 10-minute sessions only cost $17.08 (including sales tax)
Do you offer group or Military discounts?
If six drivers race two sessions, instead of discounting the price, we add four minutes to the second session and make it a Final Race.
The first 10-minute session is used as a practice/qualifier, the second session is a 14-minute Final Race.
Drivers starting position in the Final Race is determined by their quickest lap in the first session.
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes, we encourage it but your whole face has to be protected by the visor. You can't use a motocross helmet or a half helmet. If you bring your own helmet you won't need a balaclava so the cost of your first session is $32.03.
Do you offer group discounts?
We don't offer discounts, we have a special race format for groups of six or more that race at least two sessions.
The first 10-minute session is a practice/qualifer, then we add four minutes to the second session for a 14-minute Final Race. The starting position for the Final Race is determined by the driver's quickest lap time from the qualifer.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - closed
Tuesday - Thursday noon - 9 pm
Friday & Saturday noon - 10 pm
Sunday noon - 5 pm
Do you have lights on the track?
Yes, the track is lit at night.
Do I need a state issued driver's license?
No, we do not require a driver's license.
Do my parents have to sign a waiver if I'm under 18 years old?
Anyone under 18 years old must have their parent's consent. Parents must sign two waivers. For birthday parties, we can e-mail the waivers to the host if the parents are not going to attend the birthday party.
Do racers really have to wear long sleeves, long pants and enclosed shoes?
Yes, it's a requirement. Shoes are very important, not only do they need to be enclosed, they can not have high heels.
How long do I get to race?
Each session is 10-minutes.
How many laps do I get?
Most racers get 10 - 14 laps per 10-minute session.
How many karts race at a time?
We put between 1 - 8 karts on the track at a time
Can adults race with children?
Only if they're family members. We will NOT put adults on the track with children unless they're related or if another family with children that are the same age.
How long is the track?
The track is a 1/3 of a mile, 24-feet wide asphalt road course with eight turns.
How fast do the karts go?
They are capable of going 30 - 35 mph. We can control the maximum speed by changing the throttle governor.
What kind of motors do they have?
The karts have a 9 horse power four stroke Honda engine.
What kind of fuel do the karts use?
They run on propane.
Can I race in the faster karts that are in your garage?
The competition karts are privately owned and stored in our garage. You can buy a CRG Competition kart from Alamo Karts, buy a VIP Club Membership and then store your kart (s). When you want to race, call ahead and we will get your kart (s) ready.
Can we have a birthday party there?
This is a great place to have a party whether it’s a birthday party, bachelor party or just friends getting together. We recommend that you buy at least two races and take advantage of the 10-minute practice/qualifier and 14-minute Final Race.
Do you have leagues?
Our Fall and Pro Leagues started September 2nd. The Winter league will start October 25, the deadline to sign-up is Wednesday, October 22nd.
The karts are tuned up for the leagues, so go faster than the rentals.
Do you have racing lessons?
Yes, we have racing lessons on the third Saturday of the month at 6:00 pm. The format is racing instructions and three race sessions. The cost is $76.86 or $51.24 if you have an Annual License.
